BELLY Documentary and Hafla, 6:00 pm - 10 pm in the Alvord Theatre at Northland College located in Ashland, WI.

Belly is an intimate peek into the personal lives of several belly-dancers who have been profoundly affected by this unique dance form.

The belly-dancers in the documentary all come from different backgrounds and have different levels of experience, from full-time professional dancers to hobbyists.  Some have been dancing for decades while others have only danced a few years.  Belly-dancing fits into each of their lives in different ways, but the one thing they all have in common is that belly-dancing helps them face the challenges and celebrate the joys of their lives.

Cecilia, the documentary’s director combines her story of belly-dancing for over 14 years with the stories of several other dancers to present a tapestry of experience that reveals an unexpected side to belly-dancing. Event will be held at the Senior Center located in historic downtown St. Croix Falls, WI. 54024
